Vacancies on the club committee

There are a couple of vacancies on the club committee at present:

Events Organiser: This is one of the most important but rewarding jobs in the club, this is to organise the events of the club as decided by the committee for the year ahead, to do this you need to be able to brign together the people and hardware needed for an event and confirm all required paperwork is in place.

Newsletter Editor: This role is to produce a quarterly newsletter for all members, the format is pretty standard and needs someone with a good understanding of Word and picture manipulation to create a informative, interesting newsletter using imput from committee and members, you are required to edit and if needed re-write articles for the newsletter, the role also involves liasing with the printers to produce the newsletter in the correct format, ontime and the correct quantity.

Club Secretary: This post will become fully available from the AGM this year as Claire has confirmed that she will no longer be able to carry out the role. The secretary has to produce and keep accurate minutes of all meetings of the committee, including future actions, they also need to keep copies of all correspondence sent or recieved by the club in an official capacity along with records of attendance at events.

Most committee members also help out whenever they can at events, either by staffing the gate, first aid, marshalling etc, but there is no compulsion to attend events.

All the above posts will be up for election at the AGM, but it would be nice to get people underway in these posts before then, the main commitment from any committee member is to attend a regular committee meeting on the first Thursday of every month, but if the role is able to be completed without regular attendance and the committee agree to this it can be accomodated.
